Training

As part of the Helping Older People project we have devised some transferable skills training with group volunteers.  This training is offered to group volunteers as a tool to learn some facilitation skills based around creative crafts.  These sessions have been very popular with volunteers learning basic crafts that they can relay within a group setting.  Sessions include information and guidance on workshop planning and purchasing materials on a buget.

Courses ran as part of the CNC training calendar, with Creative Crafts training in February and also Easter Crafts in April and Christmas crafts in November

Lobbying Skills For the Third Age

Training designed to improve the lobbying skills of older people to help them engage with Northern Ireland's governmental institutions and advocate on issues that are important to them.  Dealing specifically at the institutions, members and procedures of the Northern Ireland Administration, identify the top ten tips for lobbying and show participants how to get their message right.
