Disability Sports training for group volunteers

<b>Title: </b>Disability Sports training for group volunteers <br><b>Description: </b>Disability Sport Northern Ireland facilitated an inclusive games training session in Taghnevan Youth and Community Centre in Lurgan on Wednesday 25th August for workers and volunteers dealing with older people and those with disabilities.  The session was kindly funded by the SHSCT through their neighbourhood renewal/health and well-being programme.  The session was well attended and we all learned new ways of including everyone in our physical activity sessions.

Description: Members of the Birches Cosy Club have visited Local Artscare Artist Jill McKeown in her studio in the Millenium Court Arts Centre to contine their ceramics project. This project was funded by Craigavon Arts in Motion and facilitated by the Helping Older People Project

Description: Financial assistance from the Health Promotion Agency enabled John McKenna and the group to organise a member's bowling competition at the Centrepoint Bowling Alley on 4th of November. John won first prize for the highest score whilst Mary Grimes took the consolation prize for the first 'Strike' of the day.
