Description: The members of the Taghnevan Senior citizens club and group leader Aideen Lavery were delighted to win the £10 prize for the wordsearch in CNC's summer newsletter.

Title: ASIST Training
Description: CNC facilitated the delivery of Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training at its offices in Portadown on 6th and 7th of May. This training, delivered by the Niamh Louise Foundation, seeks to equip individuals with the skills and confidence to help someone who may be at risk of suicide. Members who participated in the training included the Praxis Care Group, REACT and Women’s Aid.

Description: CNC offered training in the use of Powerpoint to member groups, this took place on the 2nd April - for further details contact Andrea Heads at the CNC office.

Title: Ashgrove Senior Citizens notice a 'stretch' in the evenings

Title: Creative Crafts
Description: The first creative crafts training session has taken place with 11 participants taking part in creative activities that they can use in a group session.

Title: Creative Crafts Training
Description: Volunteers from older peoples groups took part in some crative crafts training with Helping Older People Project Worker - Kathy Trainor. Each participant learned some simple techniques to bring back to facilitate within their group.

Description: CNC member groups availed of Public first aid training as part of the January 2009 training calendar.

Description: Public first aid training took place in CNC's training room during January 2009 for CNC member groups.

Title: Intercultural Arts
Description: CNC's Helping Older People Project and Artscare have been funded through Craigavon Arts in Motion (C-Aim) to involved the local intercultural womans group in an art project, here the group learn skills like bookbinding to produce individual pieces. This project will also seek to use photography with the group to investigate issues affecting the group.

Title: Artscare/Helping Older People Partnership in the Birches
Description: Craigavon Arts in Motion funded some partnership work between CNC's Helping Older People Proejct and Artscare. This work was to respond to needs of local Older People's groups through their audit. This Ceramic project involves the Birches Cosy Club and Jill McKeown local Artscare artict.
