Disability Sports training for group volunteers

<b>Title: </b>Disability Sports training for group volunteers <br><b>Description: </b>Disability Sport Northern Ireland facilitated an inclusive games training session in Taghnevan Youth and Community Centre in Lurgan on Wednesday 25th August for workers and volunteers dealing with older people and those with disabilities. The session was kindly funded by the SHSCT through their neighbourhood renewal/health and well-being programme. The session was well attended and we all learned new ways of including everyone in our physical activity sessions.

CNC's Commnity Arts Projects 2007

Community Network Craigavon funded several small community arts projects in 2007 - all of which were exhibited at our AGM in November 2007. 

 

Title: Young Stroke Group
Description: The Craigavon and Banbridge Young Stroke Group have recently donated the wall hangings which they completed with artist Bruce White during their community arts project funded by CNC, to the Stroke Unit in Lurgan Hospital. At a reception on Tuesday 25th August 2009 in the Stoke Unit, the group gathered with artist and funders to see the final framed pieces. This active group are already planning their next project, with the help of Chest Heart and Stroke's Lynn McIllroy.
